Dentistry has always been Dr Vikash Makan’s greatest passion. Having finished his dental qualifications in Fiji, Dr Vikash worked for four years before making his big move to Melbourne in 2009, bringing with him his genuine Fijian hospitality and smile. Since 2009, he has practised in the northern suburbs and predominantly in the southeastern suburbs of Glen Waverley, Wheelers Hill, Forest Hill, Mount Waverley and Croydon. With over 13 years of Australian experience, he aims to provide his patients with the best possible dental care so they can achieve the highest standard of oral health.

Being one of the founders of The Fine Tooth Company, Dr Vikash has the vision to provide his patients with the quality of care they would expect at a large corporate clinic but with the personalised touch that he is so used to providing. His love and passion for dentistry is what drives him to continuously learn and improve so he can give his patients quality care using the latest in dental techniques. He attends numerous dental seminars throughout the year to keep up with the latest technology and trends. He has currently invested in a Trios Intraoral Scanner as well as other technology to give his patients the best care possible.

Dr Vikash Makan is great with kids and anxious patients because of his gentle touch and friendly nature. He strives to help and educate all his patients so they can enjoy their smile and their teeth. He has a keen interest in Adult Orthodontics and Early Phase orthodontics and is also a certified provider of Invisalign having completed over a 100 cases. He also does a lot of dental implants in conjunction with our in-house Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon and is a huge believer of minimally invasive cosmetic dentistry. Dr Makan believes dental implants are not only for the elite anymore and are a plan of every dental patient as standard care in this modern day & age. He enjoys working with a predominantly aging population who have a constant need for full mouth rehabilitation and preventive dentistry.
