Dr Emily Pow
Bachelor of Health Sciences in Dentistry
Master of Dentistry
Dr Emily Pow obtained her qualifications in dentistry at the La Trobe University in Bendigo. Her passion for dentistry blossomed from her own personal experience of having braces and how it made her feel after they were removed. She realised how much a person’s confidence and self esteem can be affected as a result of their teeth, and how a good smile can improve both. Ever since she started working as a dentist, Dr Emily strives to give her patients confident, happy smiles.
The thing she loves the most about her work is the fact she gets to meet a variety of people from all walks of life. She enjoys providing quality dental care to people of all ages and is especially good with kids, teaching them the value of good oral health and hygiene while making their visits to the dentist fun.
Dr Emily Pow has a special interest for restorative dental treatments like fillings and crowns. She also enjoys using her talents in providing root canal treatments, tooth extractions along with periodontics to help prevent and treat gum disease.
Her outstanding work resulted in her being nominated the President of the Bendigo Oral Health & Dentistry Society. She was also a proud volunteer dentist providing free dental care to those less fortunate in Nepal in early 2017. Monash Medical Centre selected her as the resident dentist where she treated medically compromised patients, providing appropriate dental care.
Dr Emily enjoys swimming, bike riding and making flower arrangements. She is also a bit of a foodie and loves discovering Melbourne’s vast array of cafes and restaurants.
