How the Benefit Cap Works
The CDBS provides up to $1,132 in dental benefits over two consecutive calendar years. The two-year period begins when your child first receives an eligible dental service.
- If your child receives services totalling $550 in the first year, they can access up to $582 in the second year, provided they remain eligible.
- If the full $1,132 is used in the first year, no further benefits are available until the next two-year period begins.
Unused benefits do not carry over beyond the two-year period.
